Description

Bret Saberhagen is a three-time All-Star, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, and a Gold Glove Award winner. He led MLB in wins and earned run average in 1989, and threw a no-hitter in 1991. In 1991, Saberhagen went 13–8 with a 3.07 ERA. On August 26, he no-hit the Chicago White Sox 7-0 at Royals Stadium; to date, the no-hitter is the last thrown by a Royal.

Presented is an autographed baseball, that was inked by Bret Saberhagen on the occasion of his first no-hitter, pitched on Aug 26, 1991. The OAL (Brown) baseball shows signs of game use with scuff marks, soiling etc. Saberhagen signed it in blue ballpoint and added the no-hitter detailing, “GAME BALL – 8/26/91 – NO HITTER VS. WHITE SOX.”
