BRIGHAM YOUNG. Signature: “Brigham Young”, 2¾x¾ paper. Young (1801 – 1877) succeeded Joseph Smith (1844, officially confirmed in 1847) as head of the Mormon church (Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints) and led the mass migration to Salt Lake Valley. He was also the first governor of Utah Territory in 1851. Cut. Fine condition. This has been placed in a gorgious display. COA JSA Full Letter
