Bucky Harris, Charlie Gehringer et al Signed Ball
Out of stock
Not lost to the autographs on this baseball is the significance of the medium itself. A quality Worth ball, it was made precisely for Little League use, and its stamped sweet spot holds the simulated signature of that institution’s founder, Carl Stotz. And for good measure, it remains in pristine NM/MT condition. There are four signatures appearing on the ball, and summarily their quality is “9-10”. pan style=”font-weight: bold;”>Charlie Gehringer penned the sweet spot and, were it not for a very clean and shallow surface incision near his signing, this one would merit the highest award if professionally reviewed. The three other signatures are aligned on the south panel to include Steve O’Neill, Schoolboy Rowe and pan style=”font-weight: bold;”>Bucky Harris. Though these four luminaries were never rostered simultaneously, all served admirably in Detroit at some point. And for Tiger devotees, both the O’Neill and Schoolboy Rowe signatures are abnormally elusive – especially at this summit of quality.
