Hall of Fame, Cal Ripken, Jr. was only eight votes shy from an unanimous election. The Orioles icon has remained active in developing minor league teams through ownership (Aberdeen and Augusta) and has expressed an interest in buying the franchise that made him a hero. Presented is one of Cal Ripken, Jr’s. Louisville Slugger model P72 bat exhibits evidence of outstanding use with a handle crack. There are numerous ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the left, back and front barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat marks can be seen on all sides of the barrel. There is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. The bat measures in at 35″ and weighs 32.5 oz. It was made from black ash and dates to the labeling period 1991-97 in the heart of Ripken’s career.

The bat exhibits outstanding use and possesses identifiable player use characteristics. It was graded PSA/DNA GU 9.5.
