Casey Stengel Milwaukee Brewers 1944 Team-Signed Ball
Out of stock
Research suggests that this team-signed ball can be traced to the 1944 Milwaukee Brewers of the American Association. The medium, an acceptably clean official AA ball, holds 23 signatures – some of whom enjoyed some major league tenure. One of those signing, though, was Casey Stengel, appearing near the stamped sweet spot. His signature is a bit cramped, but immediately legible, projecting a strength of “7”. The overall quality of these pennings is about “7-8” and we can identify most of them to include – Charlie Gassaway, Red Smith, Tom Nelson, Heinz Becker, Ken Raddart, Hersh Martin, Julio Acosta, Bob Bowman, Bill Norman, Charlie Sproull, Hal Peck, Earl Caldwell, Owen Sheetz and Dick Cullen.
