Description

Tom Seaver played for the Cincinnati Reds from 1977-82 and had a 75-46 overall record with the team. While with the Reds, on June 16, 1978, he had his only no-hitter against the St. Louis Cardinals. He was the staff ace in 1979 when the Reds won the Western Division. And in 1981, not only was he the runner up for the Cy Young Award but he recorded his 3,000th strikeout. Overall, a tremendous time period the Hall of Famer had in Cinncy.

Presented from Seaver’s time with the Reds is this game-worn warm up sweatshirt jacket. The interior tagging features a Medalist Sand Knit tag which indicates the jacket was used from 70’s to mid 80’s. The jacket is a zip down with sweater-like material (Creslan Acrylic). It has some soiling in the front and shows aging. Handwritten on the tag in fading black marker is his identifying jersey number “41”.
