Circa 1987-88 Bob Probert Game-Used, Signed Red Wings Jersey (w/Blood Staining)

Have game, will fight. That was the mantra of hockey legend Bob Probert. What made Probert an icon wasn’t his ability to fill the net or stop a shot. No, the Hockeytown favorite could fight with the best of them. One hockey expert called Probert one of the top ten fighters of all time.

This Red Wings home jersey was worn by Probert around 1987 or ’88 according to authenticator Rich Ellis. Blood staining "decorates" the front of the knit gem in numerous spots. The front of the V-neck collar has ripped, probably from a set-to on the ice. "Eastside" is heat-pressed on the hem, as is "CCM" on the verso. The arched NOB is expressed in single-color red tackle twill. An Ultra Maska Fil tag is sewn in the collar, which measures to a size "52-54." Salt residue and rusting has evolved on the fight strap. There is also nice pilling on the inside elbow areas. No team repairs are visible, but the garment shows moderate to heavy game use.
