Circle Jerks are an American hardcore punk band, formed in 1979 in Los Angeles, California. The group was founded by former Black Flag vocalist Keith Morris and Redd Kross guitarist Greg Hetson. To date, Circle Jerks have released six studio albums, one compilation, a live album and a live DVD. Their debut album, Group Sex (1980), is considered a landmark of the hardcore genre.
Presented is an original concert tour tee-shirt from Circle Jerks The Return of Elvis Tour. The white shirt measures 19.5″ across the chest and the 25.5″ from top of collar seam to bottom. Vintage tagging is by Oneita 50/50 L 42-44 single stitch on sleeves. Nice art design on the front and tour cities on back.
This lot is from the T-Shirt collection from the estate of Chuck Landis (aka Largo) veteran promoter, concert best known as co-founder of the Roxy West Hollywood rock club in the early 1970’s and in 1980. Many of the T-Shirts come from performances that were at the venue. They have been locked away for many until now.
The Rox bar was a regular hangout for John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Alice Cooper and Keith Moon Heidi Fleiss in the 1980s. So you can only imagine what stories can tell?
