Lew Wallace was a Union General in the Civil War. Among his other accomplishments, he was a governor of the New Mexico Territory and wrote, “Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1880) which was a best selling historical adventure story novel.

Presented is a display piece that features a signed cut (3-1/2″) from a sheet of paper of Lew Wallace at the bottom. The top portion features a nice black and white photo from an engraving (facsimile). The display measures in at 12-1/2″ x 15-1/2”.
