Darrell Evans Game-Worn, Signed Tigers Batting Helmet

Along with Mike Schmidt, Darrell Evans was considered the premier third baseman of the early-70’s. In 1985, the 30-year-old Evans showed he also had great durability when he became the oldest player to win a home run title. Offered here is a helmet worn by the two-time Tigers All-Star toward the end of his career in Motown. This shell features the proper “41” in orange lettering on the back, above the white ABC logo. The bottom of the brim has been signed in silver ink (“8”) by Evans, completing this lid with nicely even wear.
