Dave Winfield Game-Worn, Signed Cap

Dave Winfield was well known for butting heads with owner George Steinbrenner. Cooler heads finally prevailed and Winfield moved on to the Angels in 1990. The big fella was a Hall of Fame talent who had one of the game’s mightiest swings. Big Dave wore this cap extensively during his days in pinstripes. The inner bill has seen plenty of action with heavy soiling. The headband shows equally heavy use. Nearly indecipherable, the size tag reads [size] “7” although it’s nearly washed out. “31” appears on the headband in black felt tip. Winfield signed the front bill in silver paint pen. JSA and PSA authenticated the “9” signature.
