Denver Flag Flown at Tiger Stadium During 1970s

Out of stock

SKU: 25339 Category:

These flags, offered individually, were flown at Tiger Stadium in the late ’80s and early ’90s. Before Mike Ilitch became owner of the Tigers, the flags that flew over the stadium simply had the team names scripted on them. When Ilitch took over, his keen sense of marketing led them to place the team emblems on the flags. The old flags were replaced by these and saw at least one season at the old stadium. All of the baseball banners show use but they’re not abused. There is a flag with the name “DENVER” which flew at Tiger Stadium when the Lions played there in the 1970s. The majority, which measure 10 ft. x 6 ft., are made of linen. Only the Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees were made of nylon. All feature the logos sewn on in single-color twill. Each EX-EX/MT flag is ready for that backyard barbeque, tailgate party or for that feverish fan who thinks they have it all.

Denver Broncos flag.
