Directly from the personal collection of Derrick Thomas, this is his Practice Pro Bowl jersey.  It is so difficult to locate any jerseys that are game-used from D. T.  To have this verified coming directly from Derrick’s collection, qualifies this without question as being game-worn by the GREAT Thomas.  Provenance is everything in todays authentication for gamers and especially for a Pro Bowl practice jersey, as there is so little available to compare with.   Collectors can feel confident in its origin and game-use based on the provenance letter and authentication.

Presented is a game-worn Derrick Thomas Pro Bowl jersey. On the left front tail of the red mesh rookie practice jersey is the “Champion” tag with wash instructions and size “XXL”. An additional Champion tag is in the collar with a coding tag. His player number “58” appears on the front and back. His name “THOMAS” appears on the back. All of the identifiers are done in heat transferred white numbers and letters. The sleeves have an “A” logo with stars for the AFC.

The bottom is custom hemmed for fit. The practice jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion, show mild wear expected from a limited practice schedule for a Pro Bowl event. Incredibly RARE, valuable and iconic, this jersey will forever be desirable to all game used jersey collectors.

Nicknamed D.T., Derrick Thomas was an American football linebacker and defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Thomas earned unanimous All-American honors during his college football career at Alabama and was selected fourth overall in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Chiefs, where he played 11 seasons until his death in 2000. Considered one of the greatest pass rushers of all time, he received nine Pro Bowl and three first-team All-Pro selections, along with holding the record for most sacks in a single game at seven.
