Don Mattingly Game-Issued, Signed Glove

Don Mattingly was masterful with the leather. While most fans remember Donnie Baseball for spraying the ball around Yankee Stadium in the 1980s, he was a virtual magician with the glove. His nine Gold Gloves will attest to his dominance at first base. This 13″ Franklin Ultra Pro glove, with a dual post H-web, was issued but not used by the Yankee great in 1995. A bright yellow Franklin patch is sewn into the glove. The model 9501 all-leather mitt has been signed (“9”) in the pocket via black felt tip. Light oil and soil remnants are present.
