DUPLICATE DUPLICATE – 1935 Gallaher “Stars of Screen & Stage” Set of 48

Issued singly in Gallaher's "Park Drive" brand cigarettes, the cards comprising this complete set feature "Stars of Stage & Screen." They appeared in the British Isles in 1935 and numbered 48 different subjects. Because they're British, most of these celebrities were, naturally, of English stock. To the delight of Western entertainment enthusiasts, however, the set does include such luminaries as Gary Cooper, Ginger Rogers and Maureen O'Sullivan, as well as Laurel and Hardy. This particular set is of the "green-back" variety (the production was also produced with brown backs). A review of the condition finds most of these cards in EX/MT or stronger. We report reduced condition only for #'s 10, 10, 30, and 40 (none of which are critical "stars" in the set).
