Description
Earl Averill has his little place in the history in the game of baseball. It was Averill who became the first American League player to hit a home run in his first big league at-bat. Averill, a lifetime .318 hitter who gained Hall of Fame acceptance in 1975, executed a flawless (“10”) signature in thin black felt tip on the offered cut. A Perez Steele drawing of Averill is placed directly above the autograph to make this display needing only a frame to be complete. The entire piece measures 8×10.
