Early 1980’s Garry Templeton Game-Worn Padres Cap

Garry Templeton accomplished some impressive feats in his 16 major league seasons. Templeton was the first switch-hitter ever to record 100 hits from each side of the plate in a season. He was also the first NL player to lead the league in triples three straight seasons. This cap from Templeton’s days with the Padres in the early 1980’s shows extreme use. The inside leather band exhibits pronounced cracking and flaking, while the size tag is worn out. His number “1” is markered in black beneath the visor.
