Description
Ed Farhat was an American professional wrestler best known by his ring name The Sheik (sometimes called The Original Sheik to distinguish him from The Iron Sheik, who debuted in 1972). He is also one of the originators of what became the hardcore wrestling style, as the promoter of Big Time Wrestling, and the uncle of ECW wrestler Sabu. Farhat promoted his shows at Cobo Hall in Detroit and was the booker for Frank Tunney’s shows at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto from 1971 to 1977.
Presented is an 8×10 black and white promotional paper photo of “The Sheik”, Ed Farhat. He signed the photo in black felt tip (“9”) along the bottom border area. The paper itself has some tape remnants affixed.
