Edd Roush Signed Baseball Reds – COA JSAGo Back
Versatile in the field and a gifted contact hitter, Edd Roush plied his trade for 18 seasons – principally for Cincinnati. With the exception of 1919, the Reds of his era were “also-rans”, and his presence on the roster shored up respectability for the Queen City nine. In 1962, Cooperstown came a calling, and Roush, at last, received the formal acclaim he so richly deserved. Later, for the benefit of an admirer, he consented to place his autograph on this baseball. The medium is an ONL (Feeney; its stampings are very clear), and on the sweet spot, there appears his immensely legible signature. Scribed in light blue felt tip, this signing projects at a strength of “9-10”. In any event, this is a splendid single-signed autograph, scribed by a Hall of Fame legend whose career dates to the dead ball era.
