Description
Ray Edward Cochran October 3, 1938 – April 17, 1960) was an American musician. Cochran’s rockabilly songs, such as “Twenty Flight Rock”, “Summertime Blues”, “C’mon Everybody” and “Somethin’ Else”, captured teenage frustration and desire in the mid-1950s and early 1960s. He experimented with multitrack recording, distortion techniques, and overdubbing even on his earliest singles. He played the guitar, piano, bass, and drums. His image as a sharply dressed and good-looking young man with a rebellious attitude epitomized the stance of the 1950s rocker, and in death, he achieved an iconic status
Offered here is Eddie Cochran 3.5″ x 5.25″ album page signed & inscribed. The personalization “Love & XXX to Betty was penned in the hand of Eddie Cochran. The signature was signed in blue ballpoint pen and grades 9-10. Betty wrote on album page Aug 1959 saw in person. Betty also wrote died: Easter Sunday, April 17, 1960 age: 21 Authentication: JSA Full Letter & Provenance Letter
Also in this lot are five original photos that Betty took of Eddie Cochran live on stage on Aug 15. There is two of Eddie in concert in the mall on stage.
