Eddie Murray Game-Used, Signed Bat

Hall of Famer Eddie Murray was one of the most consistent hitters the game has ever seen. “Steady Eddie” totaled at least 75 RBIs for twenty consecutive seasons, a major league record. Offered here is a Louisville Slugger R161 used by the ultra-productive Murray as a Baltimore Oriole in the 1980-83 seasons. This piece has a substantially cracked upper handle, as well as a 16″ piece missing from the back of the barrel. The 35″, 33.3-oz. gamer has hit, bat rack, and ball transfer marks on its barrel. The handle is modified with spiral cork grip, covered with a moderate layering of pine tar. Murray’s signature is written on the barrel in blue felt tip (“9”). His number “33” is written in black marker on the knob.
