Description
Emmitt Smith passed Walter Payton in 2002 to become the NFL’s all-time leading rusher. Smith was not flashy, but a consistent workhorse of a runner who’s strength allowed him to break tackles.
Offered is a game ready Arizona Cardinals home jersey. The red jersey was not game worn but has outstanding provenance. It originates from the former assistant equipment manager of the team (2002-07). The identifiers, “22”, are applied in white single-color tackle twill. The team logo is screened on each sleeve. Reebok’s “R” identifiers are single-stitched to each sleeve. The front tail has the Reebok tagging with [size] 48 and [year] 02 flap. In the collar area it also has the special We-Trak authentication tagging. For added value, the jersey was autographed on the back number by Smith in black felt tip (“9”).
The provenance letter reads as follows:
“I, Chris was an Assistant Equipment Manager for the Arizona Cardinals from 2002-2007. Included is 2 pictures (on the letter) of Emmitt and myself. One during his playing days as I was helping him with an equipment adjustment during a time out vs. the Seattle Seahawks and another most recent when I met up with him here in Las Vegas. I am selling 4 of his authentic game jerseys. These jerseys are computered chipped with WE-TRAK memorabilia authentication. Best of Luck, Chris” – Chris Collins
