This item originates from my famous collection, Dr. Lonnie Hammargren. I Lonnie Hammargren am a longtime Las Vegas resident since 1969. I was the Lt. Governor of Nevada from 1995-99 and was a candidate for Governor of Nevada in 1998. My eastside home was featured three times on Robin Leach’s: Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It was also featured on the Travel Channel’s show Vegas VIP Homes and a HGTV show, What’s With That House? It has since become a museum to Las Vegas past. It is usually open for tours on Nevada Day with 8000 attending the Centennial Celebration in 2005.
This is one of Liberace’s wow-factor trademark wardrobe items. It’s a long sleeve red sequin shirt that was made by SIMRIN and is 100% Rayon. There are no buttons but rather three fasteners (latches) to hold it in place. The size on the tag is marked XL and it measures 30-1/2″ top-to-bottom and 22″ from pit-to-pit. Overall, shows great wear by a captivating entertainer.
Liberace was a headline grabber throughout his career. The HBO production starring Matt Damon and Michael Douglas (Behind the Candelabra) only highlighted the interest in his story. Any collector looking for a one-of-a-kind statement piece can find it here from this one-of-a-kind, one-name-only entertainer ready for display.
I obtained these items directly from Liberace and Liberace’s Estate. I was able to get these wonderful items because of my personal relationship with Liberace.
