Ferris Wheel Tin Toy 1950’s Space Theme Nomura T.N. of Japan

Presented is a nice vintage tin friction Ferris wheel. This would have been placed on a truck bed and would turn while the truck moved. It is not marked but it was made by Nomura T.N. of Japan. It spins well and is in excellent, played with condition. The litho colors are bright and vivid. The surface of the tin has a great gloss and minimal handling/play wear.

The toy measures 4″ tall and 3.5″ wide. Each of the cars bears a spaced-themed name, they are called Star, Mars, and Earth. (The 1950s was an era that had a preoccupation with space-related themes and this toy ties nicely in with the space theme.) Each car also contains a little 3 d child, which is quite delightful.
