Description

Presented is a gold tone lighter that once belonged to Frank Sinatra. He was known to give lighters as gifts to friends and relatives. It is marked Barlow E10 – Tallboy – Japan on the bottom. It also was engraved with Sinatra’s signature across the body. The exterior has minor exterior wear in spots and still packs a spark.  They were not sold to the public and this one like many items related to Sinatra has a story to tell.

The handwritten provenance letter reads,

My father owned The Blarney Stone Steakhouse restaurant in Burbank, California.

My mother was a waitress the night Frank Sinatra and friends came in for dinner. My mom ended up waiting on them that evening in 1962.

At the end of the evening, Frank Sinatra gave my mom this lighter to her as a thank you gift. Since he had given it to her directly from his pocket, there was no box.

My mom was so proud of this lighter, that Frank gave her, that she used it all the time as a conversation piece for many years after that evening.
