Freddie Mitchell Game-Worn Jersey Signed UCLA 2000 Sun Bowl – COA Grey Flannel

Freddie Mitchell is a former American football wide receiver who played for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL) for four seasons. He was chosen as a consensus All-American in 2000 while playing college football for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft, and he spent four seasons as a member of the Eagles, culminating in an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIX following the 2004 NFL season.

Presented is a 2000 U.C.L.A. game worn jersey of Freddie Mitchell. The mesh game jersey is a white Adidas gamer from the 2000 Sun Bowl.

UCLA junior Freddie Mitchell was named the C.M. Hendricks Most Valuable Player; Mitchell’s 180 receiving yards set a new Sun Bowl record, his nine receptions tied the top spot for most passes caught, and his 64-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Cory Paus was the second-longest touchdown pass and the third-longest pass play in Sun Bowl history. The Bruins lost the match-up against Wisconsin 21-20.

On the jersey, Mitchell’s numbers “3” is featured on the front, back and sleeve screened on in UCLA’s unique font. The U.C.L.A. embroidered team patch can be found on the V part of the neck. The left front shoulder has the “Wells Fargo Sun Bowl” (2000) patch.  The left front tail features the Adidas label with two white flap tags including the size “44” and year “00”, respectively. The verso reads “MITCHELL” in navy blue on a screened name plate. The jersey shows solid use with scrapes on the fabric and loose threading.

The highlight was the back was autographed by Freddie Mitchell in black felt tip with the inscription, “MVP Sun Bowl 2000” for added authentication.
