Description
Michael Carter played pro football as a nose tackle with the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL). Carter was a three-time Pro Bowl and four-time All-Pro selection, including three times on the first team. He helped the 49ers win three Super Bowls. He was also an Olympic athlete, winning a silver medal in the shot put in the 1984 Summer Olympics.
Presented is a game worn Michael Carter San Francisco 49ers football helmet. It dates to the mid 80’s era when Bronco Hinnick was the equipment manager (1984-1998 era). Before Hinnick was Chico Norton. This is from the Bronco era. Also note, the helmet has been reconditioned. Very difficult to obtain. Tons of use.
The BIKE helmet features a gold shell with the classic 49ers logo decal on each side. The facemask is detached.
On the exterior, it shows heavy wear with soiling, indentations and hit marks throughout. Ton’s of use is exhibited on the exterior and interior of the helmet.  The padding in the interior is well worn with sweat/soiling. The padding also includes a bladder system. His jersey #95 is on a Dymo label in the interior for player identification.
Also to note, there’s a rear warning decal because it started in 1984 to mandate the stickers to appear on the helmets. Overall, a tremendous vintage game worn 49ers helmet.
