Kobe Bryant was the 13th overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft. Between 2000-02, He teamed up with Shaquille O’Neal to help the Los Angeles Lakers win a trio of NBA Championships. In 2006 and 2007 he was the NBA scoring champion.
Bryant wore this purple uniform on the road during the 2001-02 NBA Finals. This was the year the Lakers completed the three peat. The Lakers won the series over the New Jersey Nets 4-0 with the last two games in New Jersey. Both Bryant’s game worn jersey and shorts are included in the collection to complete the uniform. Overall, the uniform shows great game use with thread fraying on the identifiers and soft malleable tagging. A photo style match from Games 3 & 4 are included. Attached is an additional manufacturer’s flap tag LENGTH +4 – MADE IN THE USA. The inside left seam features two additional Nike tags which show the date “2001-02” and “Made in the USA”.
Bryant’s shorts are also include with the interior waistband featuring the Nike [size] 44 tag and handwritten in black felt tip is his number “8” for easy identification. The two additional tags are the “DRI-FIT” and “Made in the USA.” The upper left thigh has the NBA embroidered logo.
