A George Best Game-Used #7 Northern Ireland Home Shirt dating to the 1960’s.  George Best is regarded by many as perhaps the most naturally gifted footballer to ever play the game.  This stunning Bukta manufactured home top was worn by Best at some point during the mid 1960’s, early in his international career.  Best wore both squad number 7 and 11.  Later in his Northern Ireland career, he more commonly wore the #11, however early in his N.I. career he often wore the #7 shirt.  Upon close inspection, you will come to find this garment in the following condition:  The garment does show it’s age.  There are several tiny to small holes throughout.  No heavy or significant damage is evident.  Stitching appears to be strong throughout.  There is light/overall staining throughout.  No heavy markings evident.  The Bukta label is intact and visible to the inner neckline.  The cream trim is somewhat faded and discolored.  The number to the back has light fraying around the edges as well as some light staining/aging.  There are a handful of dark circular stains to the reverse.  The garment possesses a slight scent consistent with garments of this age.  Nice age and use, while remaining in solid condition.  It is recommended that this garment be handled with care.

Please take a moment to review the authentication notes provided, as well as the provided photographs:

1.  Bukta manufactured garment.  Bukta label to inner neckline.

2.  Made in England.

3.  No size is listed.  Garment appears to most closely resemble a modern day Small/Medium, consistent with the shirts worn by Best early in his career.

4.  Garment appears to be cotton knit.  Cream ribbed trim to collar and sleeve ends.

5.  Best’s squad #7 stitched to back in cloth.

6.  Northern Ireland crest stitched to chest in cloth.

7.  Additional details apply.

Perhaps the finest George Best example you will come across.  An absolutely breathtaking early garment from Best’s Northern Ireland career.  Stunning age/use.  Item will be presented in a lovely black glossy gift box for future safe keeping.  This item comes from a private collection in the UK.
