George Brett Game-Used, Signed Bat (PSA GU 8.5)
Out of stock
George Brett is to the Kansas City Royals, what Tony Gwynn is to the Padres and Robin Yount to the Brewers. The main man of the Royals organization, Brett swung this Louisville Slugger model C271 bat (34.25″ and 31.3 ounces) between 1986-89. Brett was still the toast of KC when he used this bat, which has a slight crack on the handle. Ball/hit marks and blue baseball transfer marks are located on each angle of the bat. Heavy pine tar application (probably exceeding regulation) characterize the handle, and some dead wood appears on the back and right barrel.
Brett provided his endorsement with a signature (“8”) in blue felt tip. “5” is written on both ends of the bat. A PSA/DNA sticker is affixed to the barrel end. The bat was awarded a lofty grade of trong>PSA GU 8.5.
