HOF Mel Renfro LA Express USFL Game-Used Presentation Football

Mel Renfro was a world-class athlete and all-world cornerback with the Dallas Cowboys during the Landry-led glory years of the 60’s and 70’s. He later lent his considerable talents to the staff of the Los Angeles Express, charter member of the upstart USFL. His impact is evidenced by this impressive and colorful “game ball”, presented to Renfro for his “Outstanding Defensive Performance” after a win over the Oklahoma Outlaws. Dated “6-10-84”, this game-used official USFL football (Chet Simmons, Comm.) features the traditional painted panel documenting all the details. Next to a championship ring, these balls are the most treasured professional awards, as they are voted by the recipient’s teammates and peers.
