Description
Presented is a long out of print this book is the story of a champion who could have beaten the best fighters of the latter 20th century. No trash talking braggart was Jack Dempsey. The book is titled, “Dempsey: By the Man Himself”.
He came from frontier poverty and never went back. His one goal was to be heavy weight champion of the world. He spares no in this story least of all himself. He explains his motives, his style, his loves, and his failures.
The book presented without a cover was autographed by Jack Dempsey in blue ballpoint (“9”) on an inside page with a long salutation in 1960, “To My Pal – Paul George – Remembering All the Good Ole days with Your Dad was (?) Luck Always – 7/8/60.”
There are additional two salutations as this book was a gift. The book itself is in well read condition with a loose spine.
