Jaromir Jagr Game-Used, Autographed Penguins KOHO Hockey Stick
Out of stock
Jaromir Jagr was the first Czechoslovakian player ever drafted into the NHL. It didn’t take long for him to acclimate himself to the game becoming the youngest player in NHL history, 19 years old, to score a goal in the Stanley cup finals. Jagr went on to win the Hart Memorial Trophy in 1999 as the NHL’s best player. This kevlar KOHO hockey stick was used by Jagr during the 1994 campaign. He has one of the most interesting tape jobs I’ve ever seen. The blade is only taped about 5 inches not reaching either end, and the handle is taped down about 6 inches in black and an extra inch in red. While that’s not completely out of the ordinary the white tape spiraling all the way down the shaft is what seems somewhat strange. The Shaft measures at 51 inches with the blade 11. The bottom of the blade is so worn you can see the bare wood under the tape and paint. The blade itself is interchangeable so the shaft of this stick could have been used numerous times. On the very tip of the blade lies a beautiful Jagr signature in silver felt tip rating a (“9”). At the top of the blade “Jagr” is stamped. The white spiraling tape has numerous black marks most likely from contact with other sticks. This stick shows amazing overall use, and is accompanied by a Bob Sitnick “The Stick Doctor” LOA to verify that. A James Spence hologram is also affixed at the bottom of the shaft to authenticate the autograph.
