Jeff Blatnick was an American super heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestler and sports commentator. He won NCAA Division heavyweight wrestling championships in 1978 and 1979 and won the Olympic gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in 1984 after battling from cancer.

Blatnick worked UFC 4-UFC 32 as a commentator for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He also was the UFC commissioner and was instrumental in helping the UFC get regulated by athletic commissions. He also was co-credited with giving the sport of mixed martial arts its name.

Presented is a USA Olympic worn jacket from Jeff Blatnick that was given to Big John McCarthy. It’s a red, white and blue Starter XXL windbreaker jacket made from 100% nylon. The iconic USA Olympic rings are featured on the left portion of the chest and the collar was done in an American flag patter. The interior collar tag features the proper Starter USA Official Licensed Product [36USC380] and size flap [XXL]. The back features an embroidered wrestling logo of a locked in poise with the U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM WRESTLING” detail. The left sleeve also has a “WRESTLING” letter patches down it. Overall, the jacket direct from the former gold medal Olympian shows nice wear with signs of aging.
