Jesse Whittenton was an American football player who played nine seasons in the NFL, mainly for the Green Bay Packers (1958-64).

Whittenton also played golf on the Senior PGA Tour in the late 1980s. His best finish was T-21 at the 1989 Showdown Classic.

The green durene style jersey is made by Champion Size “L’.  The tag is in the tail of the jersey.  The player identifier “47” is heat pressed on front and back.  The numerals are cracking throughout.  The Yellow/ White stiping on the sleeves is also cracking.  The jersey is signed by the player Jesse Whittenton on the front of the #47.  The Champion tag in tail is also coming undone on one side of the tagging which demostrates that the jersey was washed often.

The sleeves have the ribbed cuffs.   There are no TV numerals on the sleeves which would indicate that this was not a game-worn jersey. Also, Champion did not start making NFL uniforms until the 1970’s which was after Whittenton played.

Still a nice classic style jersey dating to the 1970’s-80’s signed by the Greenbay Player Jesse Whittenton.
