It’s pretty hard to believe that significant guitars and wardrobe from the Best Rock -N- Roll guitarist of all time, exists to this day. Are you ready for this Hendrix aficionados’? If you haven’t read it yet, get the book “Rock Roadie” and you will be able to read the story of Tappy Wright’s life and why he ended up with a few “souvenirs” from the ’60’s rock legend Jimi Hendrix. Wright used to be the general manager Anim lmted which was owned by Mike Jeffrey who managed Jimi Hendrix and the Animals and was also a Roadie for the Animals. He worked with Hendrix and some of the biggest rock legends of the day.
Presented from Tappy’s collection is Hendrix’s Indian silver bangle cuff bracelet featuring turquoise and a matching pinkie ring. The jewelry reflects Hendrix’s rock personality and the era. The overall measurement of the main feature of the bracelet is 3″across. The silver cuff design is classic southwestern which features intricate metal work with pattern indentations and three accent turquoise stones. The pinkie ring also included is simple featuring a centralized main stone.
The letter of authentication reads as follows from Wright:
“Turquoise Silver Bangle and Pinkie Ring
Both the Bangle and ring were owned and worn by Jimi Hendrix in the late 60’s. These pieces were taken from the Anim offices when they closed in the early 70’s and where I was a manager at the time, along with some of Jimi’s other clothing and effects. Both pieces have turquoise stones which was Jimi’s favourite stone set in Indian silver.”
