Description
Joe Frazier was nicknamed “Smokin’ Joe“, was an American professional boxer who competed from 1965 to 1981. He reigned as the undisputed heavyweight champion from 1970 to 1973, and as an amateur won a gold medal at the 1964 Summer Olympics.Frazier was known for his sheer strength, durability, formidable punching power, and relentless pressure fighting style.
Max Schmeling was a German boxer who was heavyweight champion of the world between 1930 and 1932. His two fights with Joe Louis in 1936 and 1938 were worldwide cultural events because of their national associations.
Presented is an 8×10 black and white photo of Frazier. It was autographed by him in blue pen “9”. Also included in the lot is a Max Schmeling autographed 8×10 black and white photo. It was signed in blue felt tip with the inscription, “To Troy – All good wishes – Dec. 1981.”
