Jose Morales Game-worn 1973 Oakland A’s Batting Helmet (with LOA from Batboy)

Jose Morales was familiar name in the major leagues for 12 seasons. In 1984, he had the distinction of being the oldest player in in the game. The Oakland infielder wore this size-“7” flapless helmet during his abbreviated rookie season of 1973, which saw the A’s claim their third consecutive World Series crown. The offered game-worn ABC helmet features a leather headband on the inside. The green shell shows moderate use as does the bright yellow bill. The uniform number “35” is written in black felt tip under the bill for identification purposes. This helmet comes with an LOA from Robert Villegas who was a batboy with the Oakland A’s.
