Late 1960’s Vern Law Game-Worn Pirates Cap
Out of stock
Description
Vern Law, one of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ all-time pitching greats, played for the team throughout the ’50s and ’60s. The highlight of Law’s career occurred in 1960, when he capped off a Cy Young Award winning season with a World Series championship. Offered here is the life-long Pirate’s heavily worn cap from the late 1960s. The sweat band, as well as the “New Era” tag housed on it, are masked in sweat stains. The interior plastic piping on the sweat band is cracked in six locations. The underside of the brim also exhibits staining, and showcases “VERN LAW” written in black marker. Law’s number “32” is also markered in black on the inside of this black and gold marvel.
