Jan Stenerud kicked professionally for 19 seasons, scoring 1,699 points. He retired with 373 career field goals which was the all-time NFL record in 1985. This jersey-and-pants combination is from his final season(s) in K.C. before moving on to Green Bay and Minnesota. The jersey is made of lightweight cotton and features a crossover neck and screened-on identifiers/striping. The sleeves are custom hemmed and the Russell size label (“XL”) is sewn to the lower tail. While the material is extremely light and resembles a tear-away, it is definitely cut like a gamer, with wide underarm gusset seams and ample shoulder girth. The Chiefs did use these jerseys during hot weather in the pre-season. The jersey is signed and inscribed by Stenerud and it comes with a pair of Chiefs game pants (size 32 X-long) as well as a rare red leather belt. “67” is markered into the waistband but the size and extra length are in conformity to Stenerud’s wear.
