Description

The San Francisco 49ers set the standard for excellence in the 1980s and ’90s. Bill Walsh passed the torch to George Seifert and the proud franchise never lost a beat.
This 49ers helmet was worn in the late ’80s or early ’90s by an unknown player. There are no markings or identifiers to a certain player. Our guess is that is belonged to a running back or defensive specialist because of the mask. It may have been used in training camp by various players as well. There are a few deep gouges on the gold shell. 49er decals adorn the sides and red/white/red stripes race down the center. Situated on back is an NFL shield and black on clear warning sticker.

A 1992 certified sticker is visible near the left inner ear hole. The mask, dated to ’91, shows minimal wear and is affixed with 1993 clips.

This helmet was originally sourced from a former NFL equipment manager.
