Lenny Moore Hall of Fame Sign, Originally Hung at Canton

Pro football has evolved from a game played at high schools to the number one sport in America. Each autumn weekend thousands of fans settle into stadiums across the country to cheer on their favorite team. When it began, pro football took a backseat to the college game, which was already seeped in tradition. Through the years, the pro game took control of the sports landscape because of its fast pace, unparalleled athletes and sheer excitement.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame was established in 1963. Names like Halas, Lombardi, Brown, Unitas, Montana, Graham and Blood McNally all have their final football resting home at the Hall of Fame. Most notably, each member has their bust in the hall. For many years, there were also gigantic drawn depictions of each member. These signs were replaced to make room for a new display.
American Memorabilia is pleased to offer 18 separate retired signs which were originally hung at Canton. The heavy plastic signs were mounted to a lit backing which would illuminate in the Hall of Fame at night.
Each of the signs has 1/4″ plastic backing, a thin transparent sheet with a drawing of the featured player and a front piece of 1/4″ plastic. All of the Canton treasures, measuring 24″ x 32″, have tape reinforcement. The signs average EX/MT in quality.
Baltimore Colts star back Lenny Moore is honored on this sign.
