Description

This item originates from my famous collection, Dr. Lonnie Hammargren.  I Lonnie Hammargren am a longtime Las Vegas resident since 1969. I was the Lt. Governor of Nevada from 1995-99 and was a candidate for Governor of Nevada in 1998. My eastside home was featured three times on Robin Leach’s: Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It was also featured on the Travel Channel’s show Vegas VIP Homes and a HGTV show, What’s With That House? It has since become a museum to Las Vegas past. It is usually open for tours on Nevada Day with 8000 attending the Centennial Celebration in 2005. Hammargren is a well known Liberace fan and collector and several of his Liberace items are now available at auction.

Straight from the Hamargren collection, is one of Liberace’s wow-factor trademark items – an umbrella. The coverage portion is decorated – (bedazzled, if you will) with rhinestones featuring his name in cursive along with a piano and musical notes.  Presumably, this was used on stage by Liberace because of the decoration and more of a cloth style material that it made from. Likely, it would not do well with water saturation. Measures in 3′ at length with a carved wooden handle. Overall, a unique opportunity to own something that captures the essence of Liberace.
