Lil Abner and His Dogpatch Band Wind Up Tin Toy Piano Animated Unique Art 1940’s

Presented is a 1945 Tin Windup “Lil’ Abner and His Dogpatch Band” Toy by Unique Art.  It features colorful graphics in primarily yellow, black and red that are on a piano. The wind-up portion will need some fixing in order for the toy to work properly. But when it works and it is wound properly Abner dances, Daisy Mae plays the piano and Pappy beats his own drum. Mammy is the lady on top of the piano (which has detached). It is in good condition with expected handling/aging wear. It measures approx. 5-1/2″ piano and the man is 7″  tall. It features a start/stop lever and a wind key. It was patented 1945 with manufacturer markings Unique Art Manufacturing Co. Inc. on the back of the piano.
