In 1984, Al Bowman was Jerry Buss’s personal limo driver for about 3 months.
They remained close friends over the years until Jerry Buss died in 2012. In 1999, Jerry gifted several Laker supporters these unique Gold records that featured
TWO vintage recordings from long time Laker announcer Chick Hearn. Al had been a season ticket holder going all the way back to the 1972-73 season and had provided
limo services to the Laker organization for specific charity events in the 1980s. Most of these gifts were NOT personalized. They were given to the “ Lakers Number 1 Fan on each text plate.
