Up for auction is a very rare and limited serigraph artist proof by Leroy Neiman published in 1988. The AP (artist proof) is also signed in pencil by Neiman. The approximate dimensions of this artist proof are 32”x 45”. This AP has been hand numbered 19/80. Leroy Neiman is one of America’s most popular artists. Neiman is considered the leading chronicler of the 20th-century good life, the Norman Rockwell of the post-War affluence. His famous career began with his reportage of the Munich Olympics and with his illustrations for Playboy and ABC s Wide World of Sports. He was educated at the Art Institute of Chicago. The scene depicts Magic Johnson rejecting Larry Bird while Parish, Kareem, and Mchale look on. Truly one of the best Neiman’s out there. Comes in display.
