Mantle and Maris “Safe at Home” 8mm Film (w/original box)
Out of stock
Through the waning months of 1961 the tumultuous rage of the nation was the slugging marathon performed by the Yankee tandem, Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. By the force of its inertia, public adulation continued into early 1962. Such is demonstrated by this little promotional film released by Columbia Pictures anticipating the studio’s full-length production of "Safe at Home." Titled "Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris at Training Camp in Florida," this 8mm promo is a silent preview of the soon-to-be released "Safe at Home." The spool and film itself appear fresh (perhaps never viewed) and the splendidly photo-illustrated box (which is two-piece, of course, and measuring 3-1/8" square) is in EX/MT condition with very minor contact wear at the lid’s corners and perimeter.
