Mariano Rivera Game-Used Yankees Cleats (From Scout who signed Rivera)

Mariano Rivera has helped bring the closer role into the spotlight. Countless times, Rivera has been called upon to deliver with the game on the line. In most instances, the unassuming reliever has extinguished any potential uprising. This pair of size “11” cleats was worn by Rivera during his Hall of Fame caliber career. According to our consignor, these were obtained from the scout who signed Rivera. “RIVERA” is embroidered in white thread on the heel of both cleats and “42” is captured on the tongue. Decent wear is exhibited on both cleats. A special rubber insert is visible on the front right toe. White chalk remnants still remain.
