Joe DiMaggio Signed Painting w/Marilyn Monroe Display by Amore – COA JSA

New York Yankees great Joe DiMaggio had the rare privilege of being married to one of Hollywood’s hottest starlets, Marilyn Monroe for a year. One of the reasons their relationship was on the rocks from the start was because of DiMaggio’s jealousy and controlling attitude. Through the grace of art, this original oil portrait painting by Amore (signed by artist at bottom border) of the couple was made to preserve the memory. The painting was autographed boldly in black felt tip pen by DiMaggio on the white portion of Monroe’s dress  (“9”). This is just one of those rare items that you never seen autographed by Joe DiMaggio. DiMaggio had a penchant for not signing anything ever graced with Monroe’s presence. This was most likely due to the bitterness of his marriage and subsequent divorce of course. The display measures 17×23 overall.
