Masanori Murakami Game-Worn S. F. Giants Pants

An important piece of global baseball history is illustrated in these road flannel pants. They were game-used by the major leagues’ first Japanese player, Masonori Murakami, who pitched two seasons for the San Francisco Giants. Capable at the big league level, he held opponents scoreless in his first eleven innings. These Spalding-made pants are loaded with rich tagging. The manufacturer’s label, along with washing instructions and “Set 1 1965” flag tag, are sewn into the rear waistband. Then, a 6-inch felt swatch identifies the player, his uniform number, waist size and inseam – all in black chain link. Nice wear is evident, but above all, this is a critical piece of international sporting history.
